This award-winning modern Indian restaurant is a real foodie destination and for £85 a person you will be able to tuck in to a feast fit for the festive season. Start with a Flowery Pear Aperitif and then choose five delicious courses, finished by Coffee and Petit Fours. Choose dishes such as Lobster Soup flamed with Brandy, Stir Fry of Goose Breast, Biriyani of Root Vegetables and Milk-fed Lamb Shoulder before tucking in to a divine dessert. The traditionalists might like to try the Garam Masala Christmas Pudding, or opt for Milk Chocolate and Pecan Nut Pudding, Lemon Tart, Spiced Carrot Cake or a Rich Platter of Selected Cheese! Children are also welcome and the cost is just £45.
Little Bay Restaurant
For a really good value Christmas Day meal head to the Little Bay Restaurant in Farringdon. Their 5 course Christmas Day menu costs just £28.95 and includes everyone’s favourite dishes! Start with Winter Vegetable Soup before choosing from dishes such as Asparagus, Poached Egg and Hollandaise Sauce, Turkey with all the trimmings, Rib Eye Steak with Hand Cut Chips and Vegetable Moussaka. Desserts include Christmas Pudding, Profiteroles and Apple Cake. The restaurant will keep serving until 6 o’clock!
This French / Japanese restaurant in South Kensington is another fine dining experience not to be missed. The Christmas day menu comes in at £65 a person and will be served non stop until 10pm, giving you all the time in the world for a Travelodge lie in! Tuck in to four exquisite courses, starting with Crab Gunkan and followed by a choice of starter, main and dessert. The Lobster Ravioli with Samphire Salad and Lemongrass Bisque, Caramelised Alaskan Black Cod with Miso and Christmas Pudding, Frappuccino & Brandy Foam sound particularly enticing. There is also the obligatory Turkey for those who find it essential!
This super trendy East London hotspot is staying open on Christmas day so that you can tuck in to anything you wish from the menu. French staples like Beef Tartar will entice the brave amongst you, whilst some of us might choose to opt for a more traditional Roast Chicken or Rib of Beef. If you feel like going against the Christmas norm then why not order a Cheese Burger, Fish and Chips or a Salmon Salad! The drinks are to die for. Definitely try a White Russian to fully indulge in the Christmas spirit! The average main comes in at about £15.
