Today, Chairman, Councillor John Stone and Vice-Chairman, Councillor Beris Williams of Herefordshire Council officially open the company's second hotel in the region within the last two years.The 38-room hotel represents a 1.3 million investment and has created 10 new jobs within the community. It is located at Hereford Grafton Travelodge, Grafton, Ross Road, Hereford, Herefordshire, HR2 8ED and will offer rooms from 29 per night.

Hereford Grafton Travelodge is styled in the company's new room design. Created in a contemporary style, incorporating a red, white and blue colour scheme, the new room is furnished with dark, rich tone furnishings and mood setting coloured lighting. Also included in the room is a digital flat screen TV and Wi-Fi. The room's en-suite facilities have also been updated to reflect the new style.

Local girl Sian Matthews, Hereford Grafton Travelodge's Hotel Manager has worked for Travelodge since 1998. Sian began as a Guest Room Cleaner at Monmouth Travelodge and has now reached her 10th anniversary with Travelodge. In recognition of this, as a gift Sian has been handed the keys to this brand new hotel.

Sian said "There is a desperate need for low-cost accommodation in Hereford and our new hotel will help to meet this demand. We sell rooms from as little as 29 per night, which is great value whether you are staying on business or on a leisure break".

Chairman of the Council, Councillor John Stone said; "Tourism and business are vitally important to our local economy and so I am delighted that Travelodge are opening their second hotel within Herefordshire in two years".

The hotel will offer a choice of either family or double rooms, ideal for putting up visiting guests over the Christmas period. The new Travelodge Light Start breakfast is available at the hotel as well as Wi-Fi and free car parking.
