1. Three Judges

Located in Glasgow’s West End, the Three Judges is one of Glasgow’s award-winning pubs, with over nine cask ales available on tap each day. It’s a great destination for beer lovers and the expert bartenders also let you try before you buy. If ale isn’t your thing, there is a good list of wines to choose from, and a glass of fizz will only set you back £2.95. For an extra relaxed afternoon, visit on a Sunday for live jazz at the Three Judges from 3 until 6pm.

2. The Lane Vinyl Bar

If you like your bars stylish, make a stop at The Lane Vinyl Bar at The Grosvenor cinema. It’s a smart place for a pre- or post- film drink, with an extensive food and drink menu, funky interior design and extensive vinyl collection. The Lane is also open for brunch, lunch or dinner. Get three small plates for £10 for a great deal, with choices like fennel, halloumi and pistachio plate, soy fried ribs and Malaysian chicken skewers. Drinks include non-alcoholic options too, making The Lane a good all-rounder.

3. Rogano

If you’re looking to splash out a little then head to Rogano, Glasgow’s original 1935 seafood restaurant, for a slow, relaxed and sophisticated drink at the Oyster bar. Sit at the long marble bar and savour a complimentary glass of wine with the dish of the day, which will only set you back £9.50. Or chill out as 1930s music plays, lounging in one of the comfortable and intimate leather booths. For a bit of fun, browse the excellent classic cocktail menu, bearing in mind that the Tequila Manthari is famously not to be missed!

4. Inn Deep

Craft beer lovers will be in their element at Inn Deep on the River Klein. With a BBQ menu, cocktails, wine, cask, keg and bottled craft beer, sports, music and art exhibitions there really is something for everybody! The beer garden is a popular place to chill out on a nice day, while inside it’s lively and bustling. If you’re hungry the 10-hour slow cooked brisket is hard to resist, as is the Oreo cookie bash cake, while those after something a bit lighter will want to try the daily salad inspirations.
