The West End is notoriously the best place in the country to catch an edgy new play or the top classic musicals. Tell Me On A Sunday
The classic Andrew Lloyd Webber musical is transferring to the Duchess Theatre (after a sell out run at St James Theatre) on the 17th of February (previews). This one woman show tells the story of a girl from London as she arrives in New York. Played by original cast member Marti Webb, this optimistic tale is guaranteed to leave you in a good mood.
The Full Monty – The Play
The Full Monty – The Play, is opening at The Noel Coward Theatre, on the 20th of February (previews) and promises to be an extravagant drama written by the Oscar winning genius, Simon Beaufoy. Telling the classic story of six strip teasing Sheffielders, this sexy new play features music by Hot Chocolate and Tom Jones. A really fun night out!
Analog.Ue
Analog.Ue, opens at The National Theatre from the 25th of February (previews) and promises to be an exciting and cutting edge short show, featuring lots of cables, a single cassette player, cameras, microphones, vinyl, super 8 and lots and lots of running. Fatal Attraction
Another cinematic adaptation, Fatal Attraction is opening on the 11th of March (previews) at The Haymarket Theatre Royal. Directed by the theatre legend that is Trevor Nunn, tickets start at £10. This dark drama has all the components for a mind blowing play. Staying true to the film, expect seduction, obsession and revenge with fatal consequences.
I Can’t Sing – The X- Factor Musical
The long awaited X- Factor Musical is opening at the London Palladium on the 27th of Feb (previews) and promises to be an absolute ball! With lyrics written by Harry Hill, the anticipated musical explores the true stories of the X-Factor from a brand new perspective. Nigel Harman will be playing Simon Cowell, who is of course the co-producer of the show. You either love it or you hate it, but I Can’t Sing might suprise you!
