5 Top Designer Outlets for Christmas Shopping

Wave goodbye to the Christmas shopping hassle. Your gift list is a great excuse to get the girls together for a festive shopping trip to one of the best designer outlets in Britain.

Even if you don’t have time for a long holiday this year, a fun weekend away or a few days midweek can pep you up with some festive cheer. This is our pick of the designer outlets to visit this season, and most have a handy Travelodge nearby:

1. Lowry Outlet Mall

In Manchester, the Lowry Outlet Mall is a great place to start some early Christmas shopping. With many of your favourite stores, you’ll be able to find something for everyone as well as having money left over to treat yourself. Make a whole day of it and break for food treats in one of Lowry’s many cafes or restaurants.

2. Cheshire Oaks Designer Outlet

Cheshire Oaks Designer Outlet is the largest in the UK and the perfect destination for any bargain junkies. With over 145 stores, including some of the world’s most exclusive brands, you possibly won’t want to shop anywhere else ever again.

You’ll find the outlet in the Wirral, close to Chester and not too far from Liverpool, with our Chesire Oaks Travelodge right next door. You’ll find places to eat inside the outlet such as Giraffe and Wagamama, but a short trip to Chester is also well worth it. The Chef’s Table is super tasty and the Lemon and Olive Oil Cake is not to be missed!

3. Bridgend Designer Outlet

In South Wales, just half an hour’s drive from Cardiff, Bridgend Designer Mall is a wonderful outlet with a smart selection of shops and restaurants – and a cinema for unwinding in at the end of the day. Our Bridgend hotel is just 4 miles away and has its own in-house Harvester, great for a comforting meal and a nice glass of wine after a hard day of shopping!

4. Royal Quays Outlet Centre

Newcastle’s main outlet centre is home to both designer and high-street stores, just the place to find presents for all your friends and family. Treat yourself to a naughty ice cream or hot chocolate at the Thornton’s Cafe in Royal Quays or dine in one of their cheap-and-cheery fast-food joints. One of our Newcastle hotels makes the perfect base for your visit, and with many restaurants and bars nearby such as 21 , a sleek modern Bistro perfect for a girls’ meal out, your shopping break will be complete.

5. Ashford Designer Outlet

With over 80 of the UK’s favourite designer brands, Ashford Designer Outlet is one of the best shopping destinations in Kent. Open every day of the week and until 20.00 from Monday to Saturday, it’s the place for a day of bargain hunting.
