Got a weekend break in Manchester planned? If it includes going out for some serious dancing, visit one of our favourite club nights for a party you won’t forget.

And with more than ten local Travelodge hotels to pick from, you’ll never have to journey far to reach your comfortable bed after a memorable night out.

1. Warehouse Project

These curated nights hosted by the Warehouse Project are the ones you want if you’re looking for a big, loud and popular party with local and national talent on the decks or playing live. Held at different venues, they’re a mix of regular club nights and one-offs, like evenings with Jamie XX or New Order. Have a look at the website in advance and buy tickets if you can. Transmission, held at The Albert Hall, is one of the best dance parties to be found and a go-to club night.

2. Clique

Clique is one of Manchester’s longest running club nights, playing a mixture of dance music, pop and electric disco, as well as live DJ sets from stars such as Florence & The Machine and Foals. Clique resident DJs are also among Manchester’s best loved and it’s for good reason that their Soundcloud has over 400,000 listeners. Their remixes and re-edits often become chart toppers.

3. Funkademia

Every Saturday at Mint Lounge, Funkademia gets the clubbers of Manchester dancing to a range of funk, soul and disco. The night is billed as a ‘chronological history of soul’ as it takes you through four decades of eclectic music designed to leave you feeling buzzing. It’s a good idea to arrive early or buy your tickets in advance as the night normally gets packed. Check out the Mint Lounge’s other events on different nights of the week.

4. Smiths Disco

The world-famous Smiths Disco, held at The Star and Garter, takes place on the first Friday of the month and draws Morrissey fans from all over the world. Playing nothing but Smiths and Morrissey songs from start to finish, it perhaps isn’t the club night for everyone, but if you want a unique Manchester experience in a historic building then look no further. Our Manchester Piccadilly Travelodge is right round the corner, so get down early for the start at 9pm and expect to pay just £5 on the door.
