The best places to buy Easter eggs in Britain

Everyone loves Easter and one of the best things about it is definitely the chocolate. If you’re after some sweet inspiration, why not give one of these speciality chocolate shops a try.

1. Choccywoccydoodah- Brighton & London

No ordinary chocolate shop. Choccywoccydoodah is a quirky chocolate shop that offers some pretty unique treats. Their sweet treats are handmade and they offer customers a feast on the eye with numerous ornate chocolate creations decorating the shop tempting you in. From their cakes to their chocolate Easter eggs, everything is made with love and looks like a work of art- almost too good looking to eat! Even if you go in with the intention of not over indulging yourself, you may end up leaving with a fabulous choccy creation. Choccywoccydoodah are relocating to the heart of the West End and there’s a Travelodge just down the road from it so there’s no excuse to miss out on their Easter choccy delights.

2. Coco Chocolate- Edinburgh

Coco Chocolate in Edinburgh, specialises in delicious organic chocolate, making it a great buy for the health conscious Easter bunny. The dark chocolate and raspberry eggs are completely vegan whilst the marc de champagne truffle Easter egg is a truly indulgent treat. If your taste buds are feeling adventurous, why not give the haggis spice chocolate bar a go while hunting for chocolate eggs? 3. William Curley- London

William Curley has been awarded Britain’s Best Chocolatier crown four times, so it’s no surprise that his chocolates are to die for. If you’re staying at a hotel in London, head to the boutique in Belgravia to get your chocolate fix or visit the original store in Richmond. The Easter eggs are no frills but completely fabulous and a perfect indulgent treat for yourself or a loved one.

4. White Rabbit Chocolate- Yorkshire

Found in Beverley, Yorkshire, all the chocolate at the award winning White Rabbit is hand made by artisan chocolatier, Sally Hawkes. This tiny shop boasts a whopping nine great taste awards and the chocolate creations definitely scream, “Eat Me!”. If you’re after an original Easter egg with a personal touch, Sally Hawke will love to create a bespoke beauty in any of your desired flavours. The Yorkshire honeycomb is hard to beat!

5. Chouchoute- Birmingham

In name and by nature, this French chocolate shop offers delicious chocolate to treat and indulge yourself. These luxury French chocolate eggs are handmade in store. Most of the products are also sold online, but the Easter eggs are deemed far too fragile for the post so you can only pick them up in person making the whole occasion feel more special.

6. Paul Wayne Gregory- Surrey

Based in Surrey, Paul Wayne Gregory makes creative chocolates for very special occasions. His chocolatey creations have also been popular with the Royal family as Paul Wayne Gregory even made the chocolates for the Queen’s 80th birthday. The colourful Easter eggs are hard to come by, so make sure you check your desired egg is available before you visit. For an extra special Easter, ordering a bespoke piece of chocolate artistry is a sure way to win some smiles!
