On Friday 17th March a strange fever takes hold across the UK. A sea of green lines the streets and fills the pubs, glasses of strange black liquid are consumed at an alarming rate and people from all countries, all parts of this island, suddenly become… Irish.<\/p>\n

I am, of course, talking about St Patrick’s Day. And whether you’re genuinely from the Emerald Isle or just joining in with this year’s celebrations, there’s plenty to keep you occupied across the UK.<\/p>\n

There’s also a St Patrick’s Day parade on Sunday 12th March, the same day Scotland faces Ireland in the Six Nations \u2013 sounds like one hell of a weekend!<\/p>\n

3. Head to the capital for a St Patrick’s Day to remember<\/strong><\/p>\n

Sunday 12th March sees Trafalgar Square turn party zone at London’s annual St Patrick’s Day Parade and Festival<\/span><\/a>.<\/p>\n

You can expect fantastic Irish culture and arts, Irish music and dance and even a food market, so there’s plenty to make you forget it’s Monday the next day. There are also lots of themed activities for the kids, so this really is an event for the whole family!<\/p>\n
