If you’ve been following us for a bit, you’ll know that Manchester is home to worship-deserving food these days. And much of it for reasonable prices.<\/p>\n

More and more burger joints are appearing all over the city. So whether you’re staying in a Manchester Travelodge<\/span><\/a> for a business trip or here for a weekend break, you’ll want to test out the tastiest.<\/p>\n

It’s been tricky and hugely personal to pick out the ‘best’, but here is our list of the most delicious to sample on your stay:<\/p>\n

1. Almost Famous<\/strong><\/p>\n

Although Almost Famous<\/span><\/a> have worked hard to keep the details of their burgers a secret and try to maintain a certain level of mystery around their dishes, there’s no hiding the brilliance of their creations.<\/p>\n

This no-booking, no-children restaurant is lively and vibrant and it can often be hard to get a table at either of its two Manchester locations.<\/p>\n

The Shut Up America is a must-try as it’s more than a little eccentric, but still super-delish. What’s in it? A juicy cheesesteak, blue cheese sauce, smoky bacon, chipotle dressing and grilled onions all topped off with an Oreo ice cream sandwich, meaning you get a burger and dessert all in one.<\/p>\n

Alternatively, opt for the Hong Kong Philly which is a flavoursome burger with an Asian twist (just the thing if you’re not into cheese). Or the Butter Blood and Blue, the perfect burger for those who like their meat rare!<\/p>\n

2. SoLIta<\/strong><\/p>\n

Home of The Big Manc, SoLIta<\/span><\/a> is an Italian\/ American burger joint that rivals Almost Famous with its quirky creations.<\/p>\n

The intimate joint is cool, kitsch and full of life.<\/p>\n

Now, don’t be shocked that The Big Manc costs \u00a314.90. It’s well worth the price as it includes 2 x 6-ounce minced chucksteak patties, trifecta brioche, iceberg, home pickles, Monterey Jack cheese and the infamous Big Manc Sauce.<\/p>\n

The Smokehouse is a better option if you’re looking for something a little lighter. Not only is it smoky, delicious and still very indulgent, but 50p from every order is donated to the Wood Street Mission, helping Manchester’s neediest families.<\/p>\n

3. Handmade Burger Co.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Serving over 40 different varieties of handmade burgers every day, Handmade Burger Co<\/span><\/a> is a great option for anyone who likes a large menu.<\/p>\n

The Jimmy’s Farm Range Burgers are made from rare-breed, free-range beef, hand selected, marbled and aged for 3 weeks. While vegetarians have an impressive seven different burgers to choose from, including a Sweet Potato and Bean Burger with mango and ginger salsa that can tempt herbivores and carnivores alike.<\/p>\n

The Peanut Butter and Bacon Burger is all-round American with a twist, while at \u00a34.95, the Beef Classic Small Burger is possibly the best burger you could ever find under a fiver.<\/p>\n
