{"id":6619,"date":"2016-05-06T14:14:04","date_gmt":"2016-05-06T14:14:04","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/travelodgeblog.wpengine.com\/?p=6619"},"modified":"2025-05-22T16:19:03","modified_gmt":"2025-05-22T15:19:03","slug":"travelodge-opens-brand-new-hotel-london-raynes-park","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.travelodge.co.uk\/blog\/featured\/travelodge-opens-brand-new-hotel-london-raynes-park\/","title":{"rendered":"Travelodge opens a new hotel in London Raynes Park"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3>Travelodge is delighted to announce the opening of its 529th hotel in London Raynes Park, and its 65th hotel in London<\/h3>\n<p>Our new <a href=\"https:\/\/www.travelodge.co.uk\/hotels\/592\/London-Raynes-Park-hotel?location=London+raynes&amp;locationCode=30908&amp;rooms%5B0%5D%5BroomId%5D=o5pabbpfwydo6a&amp;rooms%5B0%5D%5Badults%5D=1&amp;rooms%5B0%5D%5Bchildren%5D=0\" data-wpel-link=\"external\" rel=\"external noopener noreferrer\" class=\"wpel-icon-right\">London Raynes Park hotel<span class=\"wpel-icon wpel-image wpel-icon-6\"><\/span><\/a>\u00a0is a perfect base\u00a0for South West London, and is conveniently located\u00a0between Wimbledon tube station and Raynes Park rail station, both of which are within walking distance.<br \/>\nRaynes Park is a quieter, greener area which is still easily accessible from central London.<\/p>\n<p>In 2012, Coombe Lane in Raynes Park was voted<i>\u00a0&#8220;London\u2019s best performing High Street&#8221;\u00a0<\/i>and there was an opportunity to focus on a new development with no other branded hotel offering accommodation of good quality for both leisure and business customers.<\/p>\n<p>This 5-storey hotel has 86 rooms, all featuring a comfy king size bed, an on-site restaurant and bar that serves unlimited breakfast and tasty evening meals, and offers a 24 hour check in service. 18 new local jobs have been created via the Company\u2019s partnership with Jobcentre Plus which helps the long term unemployed back into work.\u00a0The hotel is already benefiting from popular annual sporting events at venues such as Twickenham Rugby Stadium and the All England Club, home to the Wimbledon Tennis Championships, both of which are close by.<\/p>\n<h4>A word from the Raynes Park Hotel Manager<\/h4>\n<p><strong>Chris Crewes<\/strong> first joined Travelodge in 2005 as an assistant manager in Wimbledon and then worked in a number of Travelodge hotels before joining Raynes Park hotel as the new Hotel Manager. He says:<\/p>\n<div class=\"blog-quote\">\n<p>\u201cOur Raynes Park hotel got off to a flying start. We are already enjoying high occupancy with leisure customers and families, and the last Bank Holiday was almost full which is great.
