Travelodge is delighted to announce the opening of Glasgow Queen Street hotel<\/span><\/a>, its 6th\u00a0hotel in Glasgow.<\/h3>\n

This lively city is home to many famous cultural venues including the Theatre Royal and Glasgow Royal Concert Hall. If you’re into art, the city’s Gallery of Modern Art is a short stroll away from our hotel and it’s well placed for visits to friends and family at Glasgow Caledonian University and the University of Strathclyde. \u00a0If you’re wanting to venture further afield, then you’re less than 10 minutes walk from Glasgow train station.<\/span><\/p>\n

This hotel has a modern and spacious on-site\u00a0restaurant and bar that serves breakfast and tasty evening meals, along with 171 rooms over 12 floors that\u00a0all have\u00a0our new, fresh design\u00a0that features a comfy king size bed<\/span><\/a> with four plump pillows and a cosy duvet.<\/p>\n

The recruitment process for Glasgow Queen Street has been remarkable, receiving\u00a0almost 500 top quality applications which were\u00a0revisited to extend the team further soon after opening.\u00a0Glasgow Queen Street hotel<\/span><\/a>\u00a0has now\u00a0created 50\u00a0new local jobs.<\/p>\n

A word from the Glasgow Queen Street\u00a0Hotel Manager<\/h4>\n

The Glasgow Queen Street hotel is being managed by Libby Gilmour<\/strong> who is celebrating her eighth year working for Travelodge. Libby used\u00a0the company\u2019s partnership with the Job Centre Plus, which helps the long term unemployed get back into work, to recruit her team. She says:<\/p>\n
