Eva, Hotel Manager

Eva has been with the business 11 years and has worked her way up from a Housekeeping Team Member role to the Hotel Manager of one of our largest and newly refurbished properties in London – and at the same time, managing to drop her children off on time at school and to football and gymnastics.

  • Housekeeping Team Member, Kings Cross Central

    Aug 2006 - Feb 2009

    Eva first joined Travelodge as a Housekeeper. She started in the 140-bed bar cafe hotel in a grade-listed building very close to Kings Cross St Pancras. After three years, she realised she loved interacting with people and that she was able to further her career within Travelodge.

    A perfect location to explore London and a perfect hotel for Eva to really use her skills, our 150-bed bar cafe site in Euston has a very busy occupancy all year around. This opportunity as Assistant Hotel Manager gave Eva a real understanding of what it is like to manage and run a hotel.

    Dec 2009 - Mar 2011

    Eva’s first Hotel Manager role was in our busy commuter hotel – the 90-bed hotel based right next to Marylebone station. This is also where Eva coached and trained the team.

  • Assistant Hotel Manager, Covent Garden

    Mar 2011 - May 2012

    Seeking a different challenge, Eva stepped into an Assistant Hotel Manager role within our flagship property with 651 rooms in the heart of Covent Garden. With a team of close to 150 Hotel Team Members, this allowed Eva to get the experience of managing a much larger team.

  • Hotel Manager, High Holborn

    May 2012 - Jan 13

    She then became the Hotel Manager of our busy business-focused hotel in the centre of London, with 184 bedrooms and a bar café, where she really proved her ability to lead and develop.

  • Operations Manager, Covent Garden

    Jan 13 - Aug 14

    Stepping into the Operations Manager role at our flagship property, Eva had to be extremely organised to ensure that her team delivered outstanding customer service.

  • Hotel Manager, Farringdon

    Aug 14 - Present

    Eva then took on the challenge of managing the 219-bed big bar cafe hotel in London Farringdon, which is also our newly refurbished property with a number of Super Rooms and a new look bar cafe.
