Amit, Hotel Manager

Having started as a part-time Receptionist, Amit has progressed his career through our Birmingham hotels and is currently managing our largest hotel in Birmingham whilst also covering and supporting his District Manager. He even met his wife whilst working for Travelodge!

    Joining the business as a part-time Hotel Team Member, Amit quickly discovered he loved hospitality whilst working in the 40-bed small hotel.

    After being encouraged and supported by his Manager, Amit secured his role on the Management Development Programme and started to use his skills in this 60-bed bar cafe hotel.

    Moving into his first management role in this 40-bed hotel, Amit proved that he was a natural through coaching his team and delivering key initiatives.

    Amit then sought to manage a larger team and food and beverage, so he moved across to our 74-bed bar cafe site where he excelled and broadened his knowledge.

    Stepping into his first Hotel Manager role, Amit showed that he was an excellent leader and could take on any challenge whilst managing the 64-bed hotel.

    He quickly went on to prove that he was capable of managing a large hotel with 60 bedrooms and ran the hotel effectively, continuously looking to help others.

    After proving his ability, Amit moved into managing one of our busiest hotels in Birmingham with 136 rooms in the heart of the nightlife.

    Amit is now managing our largest hotel in Birmingham, with 210 rooms and is renowned for developing people into great Managers.
