Gina, Learning and Development Advisor

Having started as a Hotel Team Member and working her way through a number of hotels and project positions, Gina’s career at Travelodge has moved from our hotels to our Support Office. In her current role, she is making a huge difference supporting the training and on-boarding in our hotels.

    Gina started with us as a Hotel Team Member at the 111-bed bar cafe site, which really gave an opportunity to learn about all departments involved in the running of our hotels.

    Wanting to grow within the business, Gina sought an experience in a different and larger hotel, and moved across to Heston. At the time, this was a dual site, so she supported 242 bedrooms across the sites close to Heathrow Airport.

    Gina went on to take our Management Development Programme and used her newly learnt skills in our hotel in the heart of Wembley. With a high volume of event guests, our 174-bed Wembley hotel is almost always full.

    With her proven passion for customers and team, Gina moved into one of our busiest airport sites; our Heathrow T5 hotel, strong of 297 rooms, a huge team, and a very large bar cafe.

    Knowledgeable of the Heathrow market, Gina took the opportunity to learn from a different Manager at our Heathrow Central hotel. With its 307 bedrooms, this is always one of our busiest bar cafe hotels.

    Wanting to explore different avenues, Gina completed a short secondment project within our Support Office to bring on board a new hotel.

    Her first Hotel Manager role was to run our 132-bed bar cafe hotel in Chessington, where she had the opportunity to develop her own knowledge and skills further.

    Wanting to challenge herself a bit further, Gina sought to be involved in a new opening. She successfully managed the opening of our 96-bed Maidenhead hotel on the outskirts of the M25.

    After her success at Maidenhead, she was tasked with opening our 99-bed Ealing bar cafe site, as well as fully train a brand new team.5

    Wanting a slightly more challenging hotel to manage, Gina became the Hotel Manager of one of our busiest weekend hotels, our 99-bedroom bar cafe site located right in the centre of Watford.
