    Iain, District Manager

    Iain started as an Assistant Hotel Manager, opening a number of new hotels. Iain is now a District Manager looking after five of our flagship hotels based in the centre of London. Iain has many passions including developing his team to be the best they possibly can be, as well as his family and football.

    • Assistant Hotel Manager, Leatherhead

      Nov 2005 - Nov 2006

      Iain’s first role into Travelodge was as Assistant Hotel Manager looking after the 91 bedrooms of our Leatherhead hotel, located in the town centre with a customer-focused team.

    • Hotel Manager, Gatwick

      Nov 2006 - May 2008

      Wanting to manage his own hotel, he took the opportunity when it became available to run our Gatwick Airport site that had 180 rooms – here, he consistently ensured that our customers holiday started brilliantly.

    • Hotel Manager, Heathrow T5

      May 2008 - May 2009

      Iain next took on the task of opening one of the biggest new sites of the time – our Heathrow T5 hotel, with a huge team, 297 rooms, and a very large bar cafe.

    • Hotel Manager, Heathrow Central

      May 2009 - Nov 2011

      After that successful opening, his next role was to open the new Heathrow Central with its 307 bedrooms. It is still currently one of our busiest bar cafe hotels, with an excellent team who put customers at the heart of everything.

      Nov 2011 - Nov 2013

      After managing a number of very large sites, Iain’s next role was to manage 22 sites across Surrey and Berkshire, from Windsor to Reading, with around 500 employees.

      Nov 2013 - Nov 2015

      Coming into London meant more challenging hotels, and Iain saw himself managing 17 sites. He continuously pushed for improvements and managed rollouts of a lot of projects in some of our busiest hotels.

      Nov 2015 - Dec 2017

      Managing up to 10 of our flagship properties in London, with experienced Managers, Iain continuously developed his team whilst overseeing more than 3,000 rooms.

      Dec 2017 -Present

      Currently managing six sites in central London, all six being our flagship properties and comprising of 2,500 rooms, Iain is continuously pushing for consistency, excellence and fun.
