Nikolas, Hotel Manager

Nik joined our business back in 2011 as an Assistant Hotel Manager. His passion for people and his drive to always exceed KPI’s have landed him into the role of managing our largest food and beverage hotel. From Manchester to London, Nik has always pushed to achieve his full potential and grow within the business. The added bonus was that he met his partner at Travelodge too!

  • Assistant Hotel Manager, Salford Quays

    Oct 2011 - Nov 2012

    Nik helped the opening of the brand new 156-bed bar cafe hotel in Salford Quays, where he revelled in solving its challenges, and recruiting and training a brand new team.

  • Assistant Hotel Manager, Manchester Airport

    Nov 2012 - May 2013

    The 201-bedroom bar cafe site was his next challenge. Situated close to Manchester Airport, it is always full of a mix of business and leisure customers. This opportunity taught Nik how to really adapt his hospitality style to different customers.

    May 2013 - Jun 2014

    Nik quickly proved he was a great leader and moved to our busy city centre Manchester hotel, with 181 bedrooms as well as a large bar cafe.

    Jun 2014 - Jul 2015

    Taking on his first Hotel Manager role, Nik moved to a small bar cafe site, close by the velodrome, and the Manchester City football ground. It is an 86-bedroom bar cafe site where he was able to learn all that was expected of him as a Hotel Manager.

    Eager for a new challenge, Nik moved back to a busy city centre location, which usually welcomes a lot of leisure guests in the heart of Ancoats. During Nik’s time at the hotel there was a full refit of all 116 bedrooms.

    Jan 2016 - Jun 2017

    After achieving great results, Nik moved to our largest hotel in the heart of Manchester, with 181 bedrooms and a large bar cafe, he really made a big impact – developing his team and wowing his customers.

  • Hotel Manager, Gatwick Airport

    Jun 2017 - Present

    Nik then decided that to gain more exposure he needed to relocate to manage our Gatwick Airport site. This is one of our flagship hotels with 400 bedrooms, and the largest food and beverage offering within the business. He is currently doing incredible work and setting great examples for his team.
