Robyn, Housekeeping Support Advisor

The Jobcentre opened Robyn’s eyes up to a career within Travelodge: she jumped at the opportunity and first joined as a Hotel Team Member. Throughout the years, she successfully completed the Management Development Programme, which has in turn opened many new avenues in her career at Travelodge – from being an Assistant Hotel Manager in our flagship hotel to supporting a recent Learning and Development project.

    Feb 2012 - Sept 2013

    Robyn started with Travelodge as a Hotel Team Member through the Jobcentre and joined our 408-bed bar cafe hotel in Kings Cross Royal Scot, which also happens to be one of our biggest properties.

  • Assistant Hotel Manager - Management development, Southwark

    Sept 2013 - Sept 2014

    Securing her place on the Management Development Programme, Robyn loved the programme which really allowed her to see her potential and what she could achieve at Travelodge. She then became the Assistant Hotel Manager for our Southwark hotel that has 202 rooms with a bar cafe.

  • Assistant Hotel Manager, Covent Garden

    Sept 2014 - Oct 2015

    Her biggest challenge yet, was to become the Assistant Hotel Manager of our flagship property with 651 rooms in the heart of Covent Garden, with a team of close to 150 hotel Team Members. Robyn learnt how to effectively manage a large team, whilst building great relationships with customers and stakeholders.

    Oct 2015 - Dec 2016

    After a great success in Covent Garden, her demonstrated skills helped her to become Hotel Manager of our Walthamstow hotel, a busy 107-bed bar cafe site where she had full autonomy.

    Dec 2016 - Sept 2017

    Her passion for large teams lead her back to our flagship Covent Garden location. Another opportunity for her to push herself and drive her team's development even further.

  • Housekeeping Support Advisor, Learning & Development

    Sept 2017 - Present

    After realising her outstanding ability to develop and coach people, Robyn moved into our Support Office with the Learning and Development team on an initial six-month position. She’s currently doing fantastic work in upskilling a high volume of our Housekeeping team.
