Job Description
 The job in a nutshell

Working within a small and dynamic team this is a pivotal role where you will act as a brand guardian for Travelodge. You’ll plan, design and implement high quality and well thought through marketing campaigns to drive brand perceptions and sales, you’ll have the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with other departments, and agencies to produce informative brand compliant communications assets and collateral.

What you’ll be doing

  • Work closely with internal teams and agencies to develop and deliver marketing material in line with the communications objectives, on time and on budget

  • Brief, lead and implement food & beverage communications for the brand

  • Manage projects to create new brand assets, including briefing, creative direction, managing internal stakeholder approvals and budget control e.g. food & beverage photography

  • Responsible for managing brand collateral with our print partner including stock control and brand assets availability through our asset library

  • Act as a brand guardian for the business including assisting key departments with their internal communications needs, monitoring hotel operations to ensure they are brand compliant and ensure that all marketing campaigns are aligned to brand guidelines

  • Develop content for marketing campaigns including copywriting and  ongoing social media content

  • Manage the brand inbox responding to hotel and brand quieres quickly ensuring we provide excellent service and support to hotels andwider team’s

  • Team administration including raising PO’s, tracking and reporting marketing spend setting up meetings, preparing templates etc.

  • Assist in managing supplier relationships

  • Other ad hoc projects

  • Support on wider brand projects with the brand manager or senior brand manager, the B2B marketing manager and the head of brand

What we’ll expect from you

  • You’ll be a highly motivated self-starter who can work as part of the busy brand team on individually driven projects and as part of an integrated cross functional team

  • You’ll have at least 2 years marketing communications experience ideally gained in a multi-site businesses with the experience to brief and lead a range of BTL marketing initiatives

  • You’ll possess knowledge of brand management, design and print processes

  • You’ll be organised and have experience in running projects to produce new brand assets including photography

  • You’ll have excellent computer literacy and be confident in using excel

  • You’ll have an understanding of social and digital marketing

  • You’ll be passionate about storytelling with strong copywriting, proofreading and editing skills

  • You’ll be easily able to put yourself in our customers’ shoes, to deliver effective campaigns and communications

  • You’ll have exceptional organisational skills, working to detailed plans, managing multiple projects and work streams

  • effortlessly in order to achieve your deadlines   

  • You’ll have a positive can do attitude with a strong work ethic, must be energetic, ambitious and organised

  • You’ll need excellent interpersonal skills and relationship management which enable you to lead and work with multiple stakeholders at varying levels, internal teams, agencies and partners to deliver fantastic outputs

  • You’ll be a creative thinker with the ability to think differently

  • You’ll have impeccable attention to detail

  • You’ll be a flexible team player who has the ability to work in a dynamic environment
