The job in a nutshell

 
As Digital Marketing Executive for Travelodge you’ll help maximise the return on investment of digital advertising channels. You’ll strive to deliver an increase in website bookings, revenue and visits while supporting key hotels and hotel locations identified by the business. You’ll assist the Digital Acquisition Managers in management, optimisation, testing and delivery of several digital marketing channels.

You’ll have the opportunity to learn and develop your digital marketing abilities by learning from talented digital marketing managers and leading digital marketing agencies. You’ll gain valuable insight and experience in the full digital marketing mix, and learn the skills to master the delivery of complex digital marking strategies.


Responsibilities

  • Support the Digital Acquisition Managers in improving performance of all Travelodge digital acquisition channels

  • Track digital marketing channel spend, ensure supplier invoices are correct, processed and paid on time

  • Use Google Analytics to measure and record the performance of all campaigns

  • Help analyse test results by interrogating data to drive actions

  • Take control of one or more smaller digital marketing channels

  • Assist in testing new campaigns to ensure they are set up and tracking correctly

  • Identify and segment customers to ensure events/promotions are specifically targeted and suited to their demographic 

  • Develop and implement the digital partnerships and affiliate channel strategy as part of the wider digital acquisition channel

  • Work closely with internal teams/ (marketing/ revenue/ analytics/ customer services) to help develop, plan, set-up, launch, test and measure affiliate promotional activity

  • Asist in developing and refining creative assets that achieve specified KPIs

  • Use SEO tools to track organic search rankings and identify new opportunities


Person Specification: Skills, Knowledge & Qualifications 

Essential: 

  • 1+ years experience in digital marketing, acquisition/media channel management or ecommerce roles

  • Strong analytical capability with experience of using a range of analysis, reporting and channel management/optimisation tools

  • Good understanding of budgeting and forecasting as part of channel specific key performance indicators

  • Comfortable with using Excel/Google sheets

  • Solid knowledge in digital media and online best practise 

  • A highly motivated self-starter with experience working in a rapid results driven environment

  • Well organised with a can-do approach, willing to get involved and focussed on channel performance, delivery and optimisation

  • Attention to detail - both in terms of performance/KPI reporting, and providing supporting commentary

  • Desire to pursue a career in digital marketing

  • Excellent agency management and communication skills, comfortable working with agencies as well as in-house teams
