The job in a nutshell 

As a Learning Designer, you will consult with stakeholders and design effective, compelling learning experiences that will ensure our people can learn more whilst working at Travelodge.  This will involve instructional design for our Hotel Teams to learn about new processes and engaging learning experiences for our support centre teams throughout the employee life cycle.

What you will be doing: 

  • Create learning material/media (audio, video simulations, role plays, games etc) to support business change initiatives.

  • Create instructional graphics and digital learning content appropriate to the user interface and the desired learning outcomes.

  • Design learning exercises and activities that support the rollout of business change initiatives and internal development programmes.

  • Set clear instructional guidance on how learning activities should be completed.

  • Devise and design modes of assessment, such as tests or quizzes, to measure the effectiveness of the learning material.

  • Maintain the learning content within the online Training Toolkit in line with GDPR requirements.

  • Analyse and apply trends and best practices in learning technologies and instructional design.

What we’ll expect from you: 

  • Proven experience working in learning design (online/F2F).

  • Experience of designing digital learning solutions is desirable.

  • In-depth knowledge of learning theories and instructional design models.

  • Visual design skills (Adobe Creative Suite).

  • Excellent creative writing skills and a keen eye for detail.

  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills.

  • Ability to multitask, manage time and work to tight deadlines.
