The job in a nutshell 

As a Digital Learning Developer, your role will involve a combination of design and development of digital learning solutions that will inspire our Hotel Teams and Support Centre colleagues to learn more at Travelodge. 

You will work with the Training Manager, internal stakeholders and external partners to develop digital learning solutions to support the digital employee roadmap for our Hotel Teams and Support Centre colleagues.


What you’ll be doing: 

  • Create, improve and maintain effective, up to date, quality checked, and user tested digital learning products following changes to our industry and business.

  • Develop learning materials and resources using the most appropriate authoring and creative tools.

  • Work with subject matter experts and other contributors in the learning content development process.

  • Edit and proofread SME material and ensure it has suitable copyright clearance and attribution.

  • Manage the implementation of digital learning platforms across the business.

  • Set up and configure material and resources on the digital learning platforms.

  • Undertake tests to ensure courses are set up correctly and learners can access them.

  • Contribute to the design of training and development courses and resources to ensure a consistent learning environment for learners.

  • Work with various partners and support in the filming and creation of innovative and engaging videos.

  • Work with the rest of the People Development & Training Team to identify and implement methods of improving the learning experience using learning technologies.

What we’ll expect from you: 


  • Experience of using a range of authoring tools such as Articulate 360, Rise 360.

  • Experience of using Adobe Creative Cloud Suite including Premiere Pro, Audition, Illustrator and Photoshop.

  • Writing, copy-editing and proofing skills.

  • A good knowledge of learning and development principles and modern digital learning approaches with a focus on delivering to agreed quality criteria and timescales.

  • The ability to support the simplification of complex processes/systems/products into easy to understand content.
