The job in a nutshell

The role of Lead Resourcing Partner - Employer Brand and Support Office, is to manage resourcing for our Head Office and Maintenance functions, with two Resourcing Advisor direct reports. The incumbent will take personal responsibility for the majority of mid level hires and oversee the Resourcing Advisors to support more junior vacancies. They will work collaboratively with the People Business Partner to deliver the end to end resourcing plan.

The Resourcing Partner will align resourcing strategies and processes with the business strategy, identify demand and deliver the talent for current and future needs 

The other key area of focus for this role will be to manage the development of our employer brand through digital and social media channels. The Lead Resourcing Partner will work with our internal digital marketing team and external digital suppliers to ensure our centrally posted content and our candidate/employee led content continues to position Travelodge as an employer of choice. 

On occasions, there may be a requirement to support vacancies in our hotels

What you’ll be doing:

Resource planning

  • Align resourcing strategies and processes with the people plan for the Support Office and Maintenance teams, identifying demand and delivering the talent for current and future needs

  • Take a proactive approach to talent attraction, through a number of channels, including market mapping, search activities and promoting Travelodge as a great place to work.


  • Take responsibility (in the main) for mid level hires for our Support Office and Maintenance roles. There may be the requirement on occasion to support more senior or more junior roles, depending on volumes. 

  • Follows the company resourcing standards and takes a creative and innovative approach to recruitment including sourcing including the use of digital, mobile and social media.  

  • Works with the Hiring Manager to agree the brief and create a compelling attraction strategy. 

  • Proactively drives the recruitment process to ensure roles are filled promptly. 

  • Uses CV databases and advanced search methodology to headhunt candidates where required.  

  • Ensures knowledge of employment law is up to date and any legislation that may impact the recruitment process.

Succession Planning

  • Has knowledge and visibility of the Support Office and Maintenance succession plans, in order to identify potential across emerging internal talent and retention risks. 

Employer Brand Management 

  • Develops and delivers against a comprehensive plan for the year that sets out our social media and digital strategy for recruitment 

  • Ensures content is updated in a timely manner and reviews responded to where appropriate 

  • Builds a bank of content (images, videos etc) for use across multiple social campaigns

  • Works with the Senior Resourcing Manager to develop our careers website and supports the development of our online candidate application process 

  • Posts regular updates on the Careers website

  • Maintenance of job profiles within the ATS 

Candidate journey 

  • Ensure that candidates have a positive recruitment experience with Travelodge by communicating regularly and engaging them. 

  • Work with hiring managers to ensure feedback is received timely and meets the standard required.

  • Promote a culture with the Resourcing Advisors of caring for candidates and build an understanding of the impact it has on our employer brand 

External talent pool

  • Maintains a ‘talent pool’ of individuals who could work for TL when an opportunity arises. Keeps the pool warm and revisits for updates at regular intervals. 

What we’ll expect from you:

In order to succeed in this role, candidates should demonstrate experience of working in a fast paced recruitment environment, ideally in a Head Office or corporate role. The ability to translate business requirements into compelling recruitment campaigns is essential, as is exposure of using applicant tracking systems.

Candidates should have the ability to build strong relationships and network across the People and Support Office teams. They should be passionate about direct recruitment and have the ability to demonstrate success through past KPIs. 

This role will require someone who is highly organised, and is able to handle multiple vacancies and projects and keep on top of them all. 

Key to this role is knowledge of, and passion for digital and social recruitment marketing and employer brand building channels. The incumbent will be expected to champion and drive the development of this medium

Must demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Experience leading a small team would be desirable 

  • Researcher or headhunting skills

  • Tangible evidence of building successful recruitment campaigns through social channels
