The job in a nutshell

The primary aim of this role is to provide commercial analysis and support to the Revenue Team.  This involves a commercial outlook with the ability to quickly identify areas of interest/concern from large data sets, working autonomously to formulate decisions prior to cascading to a wider audience.

A key focus will be on delivering a RevPAR growth with an aim to over deliver planned revenue targets and gain competitive advantage whilst supporting the Head of Pricing Strategy with project work.

From September we will be moving to a hybrid way of working with the flexibility to work from home 40% of the week.

What you’ll be doing:


  • Maintain Travelodge’s pricing structure and policy across all systems.

  • Develop and manage a suite of reports to enable the Revenue Team to make faster commercial decisions.

  • On-going measurement, and monitoring to ensure IDeaS is being optimised.

  • Review data to identify business trends and identify opportunities.

  • Measure the impact of major price changes within each market and provide analysis for the Director of Revenue and Area Revenue Managers.

  • Provide weekly analysis and reporting.

  • Production of the revenue performance monthly balanced scorecard

  • Provide ad hoc reporting as required.

  • Support the Head if Pricing Strategy with project work.

  • Responsible for promotional rates and allocations, e.g. Friends & Family.

  • Support team to cover holiday, sickness and project work as required.

Stakeholder management 

Internal: Head of Pricing Strategy, Revenue Managers, Area Revenue Managers, Inventory Managers, Director of Revenue, Hotel Booking Support Team.

External: IDeaS Teams (ROA & Client Relationship Manager)

What we’ll expect from you

Essential:

  • Good commercial acumen

  • Ability to analyse data and identify trends, turning this into commercial actions

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent, ideally in a numerical subject

  • Strong Excel skills.

  • Very detail orientated.

  • Highly numerate.

  • Ability to work in a high pressure environment;

  • Excellent prioritisation and organisation skills

  • Flexible and able to embrace change to meet the varying needs of the business;

  • Proactive, tenacious, self-motivated, enthusiastic, personable and energetic.

  • Effective communication skills

What would set you apart:

  • Experience of IDeaS RMS an advantage

  • Previous experience with report building and database querying an advantage (e.g. Visual Basic, SQL, Access, SAS etc)
