Internally known as our People Services Advisor, you’ll support and advise the managers on the entire employee lifecycle including AWOL, probation and supporting low level ER cases. 

 

Based in Thame, Travelodge is the UK’s largest independent hotel chain with over 570 hotels across the UK. We pride ourselves on offering an informal, but fast paced environment which offers a great work life balance.


What you’ll be doing:


  • Supporting line managers with people processes and queries, and advising on people policies, long and short term absence management, AWOL and probationary matters.

  • Advising on all elements of the employee lifecycle from new starters to leavers.

  • Managing incoming queries via telephone and email.

  • Maintaining data trackers, colleague records and the Fourth people system.

  • Analysing key people trends to provide meaningful insight into areas of focus.

  • Coaching managers on best practice when managing people processes.

  • You’ll have excellent attention to detail

  • You’ll have experience of absence management

  • You’ll have knowledge of the relevant legislation that would impact key decisions

  • You’ll have the ability to assess cases in order to make informed decisions on a case by case basis 

  • You’ll be taking into account the welfare of the colleague and the needs of the business

  • You’ll have excellent communication and influencing skills

  • You’ll have good time management, planning and organisational skills

  • You’ll be confident in managing data sets and spreadsheets, identifying trends and suggesting positive action to address these

  • You’ll be trusted with discretion and confidentiality
