As a Senior New Business Manager you will be an essential part of Travelodge’s business customer acquisition.  You will manage new business opportunities and win new high value customers to Travelodge’s direct to brand Business proposition.. To achieve this you will develop a rolling sales pipeline utilising a number of warm & cold lead sources including LinkedIN Navigator. You’ll utilise insight and data to target specific markets & industries, and anticipate potential growth areas and opportunities. You will be adaptable with the ability to tailor your approach to the needs of the individual customer. 

What you’ll be doing:

New Business Sales Delivery

  • Win new direct to brand corporate accounts spending >£50k pa on accommodation, managing the sales process end to end.

  • Develop a pipeline of target accounts via multiple lead sources, using data and insight to identify target industries & segments

  • Support need locations and key industry sectors through targeted new business sales activity.

  • Ensure the effective transition of new corporate account wins across to the account management team.

  • Showcase the Travelodge hotel portfolio to prospective corporate customers using compelling methods, including hotel visits exhibitions and networking events

  • Build bespoke customer proposals

Stakeholder Management

  • Work with the Account Management team to ensure alignment of new business propositions and account handovers.

  • Work with revenue team on bespoke customer proposals

  • Build strong internal stakeholder relationships within and outside of the Sales function as required

  • Work with Business Development Director and New Business Managers  on lead handovers and ways of working

A bit more about you:

You’ll bring your natural ability to proactively drive SME corporate account sales and to work in a fast paced target driven environment. There will be a significant reliance on you to identify and win opportunities for new business. In addition, we'd like you to have:

  • B2B sales experience with a track record of new business acquisition
  • Proficient in the use of LinkedIn
  • Evidence negotiation and influencing at senior decision maker level
  • Experienced understanding of the B2B buying process and proposal writing
  • The ability to present face to face and over the phone the Travelodge proposition
  • Excellent communication and relationship building skills
  • A hunger for account wins, you'll be ambitious and target driven
  • Results driven, self-motivated, flexible and resilient
