The job in a nutshell

As a Group Bookings Advisor (known internally as Group Sales Advisor) you will support the delivery of the Group Sales team accuracy, productivity and conversion targets, in order to grow sales and achieve budgeted revenue targets via warm leads (no cold calling).

You will do this by working with our customers to convert their Group Booking enquiries, delivering an effortless booking experience.

What you’ll be doing

Sales and Service

  • Management of Group bookings over 10 rooms via a central booking system

  • Seek to understand our customer requirements in order to deliver a right first time booking offer

  • Drive conversion of offers to bookings using sales skills and  building relationships with our corporate, leisure and travel trade customers. 

  • Maintain agreed accuracy, productivity and SLA’s

  • Flag to Team Manager any opportunities to improve the in-hotel service and proposition for Group customers.

Internal Stakeholders 

  • Support the training and induction of new starters 

  • Build relationships with other internal departments including Revenue, Hotel Booking Support Team, Accounts and Customer Services

  • Work as part of a team and liaise with the relevant internal departments to ensure that all bookings are made with accuracy and in a timely manner

What we’ll expect from you

To succeed in the role, you’ll bring your natural ability to build relationships and desire to work in a fast paced, target driven sales environment. You’ll be comfortable calling customers to follow up queries and manage their bookings from enquiry to stay. 

In addition you’ll need to demonstrate:

  • The ability to work well under pressure

  • Good attention to detail

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Motivation to forge excellent professional relationships with customers and colleagues 

  • Self-motivated and enthusiastic to succeed

  • Confidence with Microsoft Office packages
