The job in a nutshell


As the Administrator for the Business Distribution team you will support the Business Distribution technical lead in driving best in class visibility and booking experience for all corporate customers in order to increase revenue in the Global Distribution Systems (GDS) and Direct Connect (DC) channels and achieve budget targets.


You will do this by ensuring our GDS and DC corporate rates are always available and well merchandised as well as providing support to our Key Account Team delivering our corporate rate strategy and removing barriers to booking for all our key corporate customers.

 
This role is a field based/working from home position with regular visits to our head office in Thame.

What you’ll be doing


  • Daily use of internal and external reservation/distribution systems including Opera, MyFidelio and GDS in order to ensure the Corporate Sales channel rates are always available and well merchandised.

  • Responding to corporate rate requests (RFPs)

  • Key Account support – responding to rate audits, liaising with Travel Agents and Key Account Managers to ensure we understand their needs and are able to resolve any booking challenges.

  • Help coordinate onboarding procedures for new Direct Connect customers.

  • Coordinate new hotel builds on all systems.

  • Support monthly reporting and auditing requirements.

  • Build relationships with other internal departments including the wider sales team, IT  and data teams.


What we’ll expect from you


To succeed in the role, you will need to be able to use your technical knowledge in order to ensure processes within the team are completed accurately, in line with business deadlines and meet our customer needs. The role is heavily process driven and attention to detail is paramount due to the multi-million pound revenue booked via the business customer channels where errors can be costly.


In addition you’ll need to demonstrate:


  • Ability to manage and prioritise large volumes of work requests.

  • Experience of working in a multi system environment.

  • Excellent communication and relationship building skills with a passion for process improvement, offering excellent customer service and attention to detail.

  • Analytical with an eye for detail.
