Job Description

Find where you belong!

FTC Till end of 2026

Are you ready to lead and design complex change initiatives for one of the UK’s top budget brands? Do you thrive in a fast-paced, data-driven environment, influencing stakeholders at all levels of the business? If so, our Senior Change Programme Manager position might be the perfect next move for you.

Your Purpose

At Travelodge, we are experts at simplifying travel. To stay ahead, we are looking for a Senior Change Programme Manager who can take high-level business priorities and turn them into structured, operationally viable realities. In this role, you won't just be managing a timeline; you will be the architect of change. Under the direction of the Head of Business Change, you will partner with functional leaders and the PMO to shape and structure strategic initiatives.

As a Senior Change Programme Manager, your mission is to bridge the gap between "big ideas" and "successful implementation." You will be responsible for the high-level design of complex change, ensuring every initiative has a rock-solid foundation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Shaping: Lead the design of complex initiatives, working with senior stakeholders to clarify scope, risks, and intended outcomes before delivery begins
  • Revenue & Taxation Focus: A critical part of your remit will involve managing programmes specifically tied to revenue streams and taxation frameworks. You will navigate the complexities of financial change, ensuring our propositions are both compliant and commercially optimised.
  • Influence & Advocacy: You will act as a key interface for public consultations and lobbying efforts, translating regulatory shifts into internal business strategies.
  • Governance & Delivery Design: Define how change is delivered by setting clear roles, sequencing, and success measures. You’ll create seamless handover packages for Change Delivery Managers and regional teams.
  • Functional Excellence: Strengthen the wider Travelodge change function by instilling consistent standards, a culture of structured challenge, and continuous learning.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and develop a high-performing team of Change Project Managers, coaching them and wider stakeholders on practical change methodologies.

Your Strengths

We are seeking a strategic systems thinker who balances an obsession with structure with the ability to navigate early-stage ambiguity. You will be a master of "pre-mobilisation," capable of anticipating how shifts in revenue-related programs or taxation ripple across a complex, multi-site estate. This role requires a heavy hitter in Change Management who can transform abstract ideas into orderly, practical solutions, all while leveraging data and commercial insight to influence senior leadership and provide evidence-based challenges.

The ideal candidate brings a sophisticated background in Advocacy and Public Affairs, particularly in managing public consultations or lobbying efforts. Beyond technical expertise, you are a leader dedicated to building long-term organisational capability and fostering trusted relationships across diverse functions. If you are agile enough to innovate while maintaining rigorous oversight and have a proven track record of leading teams through high-stakes strategic transitions, we want to hear from you.

Your Perks

  • Up to £68,,000.00 Salary & Annualised Bonus
  • Contributory pension scheme - auto enroll at 5% after 3 months and we contribute 6%
  • Hybrid working - a minimum of 60% of your time should be spent in the office and or visiting suppliers
  • 50% personal discount for hotel bookings and great friends and family discounts too!
  • 25 days holiday + bank holidays, increasing with length of service
  • A focus on learning and career development

Why Travelodge?

At Travelodge, we’re more than just a Hotel brand; we’re a community where you can truly be yourself and belong. Through our “Better Me” initiative, we prioritise your total wellbeing—emotional, physical, financial, and professional—while actively celebrating the diversity that makes our teams stronger. If you’re a results-driven individual who pays attention to the little things and genuinely cares about people, you’ll fit right in.
