This iconic structure was once the longest single-span suspension bridge in the entire world, and it remains a massively impressive engineering marvel today. You can drive across it for some amazing views, or, if you’re feeling a bit more adventurous (and want to save on petrol!), you can walk or cycle across for breathtaking views of the Humber Estuary and the surrounding flat landscape.
It’s an ideal spot to stop for a panoramic view and a great photo opportunity, especially at sunrise or sunset. It truly connects the north and south banks of the region, and it’s a brilliant landmark to visit just outside the main city hub.
