This once-thriving resort town is the perfect location if you’re looking for a holiday with a mix of the beach and entertainment.
With a stunning promenade providing beautiful views of the bay, there are also several art installations and games for the whole family to enjoy. Down on the sand and shingles is the perfect place to spend the day having a picnic or relaxing in the sun, and when the tide is low, the shore stretches very far out, but be cautious as you don’t want to go walking on the quicksand!
Along the beach, there is plenty to see, including where the bay curves around into a stone cove, as well as plenty of sailboats in the water at the northern end of the beach. There is also plenty of entertainment along the promenade, including many popular amusement centres packed with arcade games and slot machines galore.
Why not stop off for ice cream or refreshments as well at one of the nearby cafés and restaurants, bringing an end to an amazing day out.
