Traigh Eais (Isle of Barra)

Located right next to Barra Airport and perfect for travelling directly, this beach is the most popular of all the beaches in the Outer Hebrides of Scotland.

With golden sand backed by tall sand dunes, this beach spans the impressive length of the entire coast to Eoligarry and is popular among cockle catchers. The sand dunes have a trail that leads all around the island for a fun adventure with the family. At high tide, this beach is comparable to the Caribbean islands, with its rocky structure all around the beach combined with the crystal-clear waters perfect for a swim.
