Where should I stay in London?

Our hotels are close to top attractions in Central London including the iconic London Eye, Sealife Aquarium and London Dungeons all on the Southbank overlooking the Thames and just down the road from our Travelodge PLUS hotel, London Central Waterloo hotel which is also conveniently placed moments from Waterloo train station. Our London Central Southwark is also near the Southbank with just a 12 minute walk, and is just a 2 minute walk down the road from Southwark tube station so you can explore the rest of the city. So, whether it's a museum, a browse round the world's top brands, a world class restaurant or a wander round one of London's best parks, there's a conveniently located Travelodge right where you need to be.

World class shopping can be found at London's two Westfield shopping outlets, in Shepherd's Bush and Stratford. Both of which are within a convenient tube ride or walk from Travelodge Stratford or Travelodge Acton hotels. Some of the capital's most popular museums can also be accessed from the outskirts. Our London Fulham hotel is a great choice for seeing the best of London's museums. The hotel is an 8 minute walk away from Fulham Broadway Station where you can hop on a 10 minute tube ride to South Kensington Station. From there, both the Natural History Museum and the Victoria and Albert Museum are a 4 minute walk away, the Science Museum is a 6 minute walk away, the National Army Museum is a 20 minute walk away.

When the sun is out, a stroll or a picnic in one of London's famous parks is a must. Our London Central Marylebone hotel is a 2 minute walk from Regents Park which is the home to ZSL London Zoo. Our London Finsbury Park hotel is 5 minutes walk away from Finsbury Park and is a 3 minutes walk away from Finsbury Park station. From here, you can take the Victoria line to Highbury and Islington station on the Victoria line, then change to the overground line which will then get you to Hampstead Heath station in 13 minutes. If you want to visit Hyde Park, whether it's for their top seasonal attraction Winter Wonderland, a splash in the lido, or for a stroll around the gallery and Albert Memorial, Travelodge London Covent Garden hotel is the ideal place to stay. From the hotel, walk 5 minutes to the Covent Garden tube station and from there, take the Piccadilly Line for 5 minutes until you get to Hyde Park Corner station. For a great brunch head over to Wild Thyme near our London Acton hotel, another 5 star TripAdvisor favourite that sells yummy veggie and vegan food and has been praised by visitors for their great breakfast offering. Wild Thyme is an easy 20 minute bus ride away from our London Acton hotel on the number 260 which you can catch from bus stop Z right outside the hotel.

How to get the best value hotel in London

If you want to save money and stay out of the hustle and bustle of Central London, you don't have to stay in centre, we have lots of hotels on the outskirts where you can access Central London using the Capital's TfL network. If you're visiting South London, our Travelodge London Greenwich hotel is a 2 minute walk from Deptford Bridge DLR station and is a great base for exploring the National Maritime Museum where you can discover tales of exploration, trade and endeavour with free entry. If you take a tube ride from Deptford Bridge to Greenwich station, The Royal Observatory is a 17 minute walk away. At the Royal Observatory, you can learn more about the world which lies above the clouds, and also stand on the Prime Meridian line and find out how this time line changed the world. Also docked at Greenwich is the award winning and impressive Cutty Sark, a ship that exceeded expectations, broke world records for its speed and proved diligent in exporting and importing goods from overseas such as tea. On site is also a cafe where you can enjoy a traditional English afternoon tea while taking in the epic skyline views of London. Thames river cruises from City Cruises run daily between Westminster Pier opposite the London Eye, and head east over to Greenwich Pier which is a 10 minute walk from Greenwich station, and provide an entertaining and informative guide on the history of life on and around the iconic river Thames.

Looking to stay in North London? Our Finsbury Park hotel is just a stone's throw away from Finsbury Park- London's longest nature reserve, and it's only a 5 minute walk away from Finsbury Park tube station which can take you into over to Leicester Square in Central London in 15 minutes on the Piccadilly Line. The impressive Alexandra Palace- fondly known by locals simply as 'Ally Pally'- is a 22 minute walk away from our Travelodge London Wood Green hotel and is the home to some of the best London gigs around.
