Things to do in Jesmond

For a step back in time, visit Newcastle Castle. Be warned as there are a lot of stairs to climb. The history is thrilling for young and old, and the viewpoints give great panoramas over the city. Start here, as our Gateshead Hotel is only four miles away, and then make your way to Saltwell Park for the beautiful, themed gardens. If the weather's good, rent a pedalo on the boating lake. For something different, go to Bill Quay Community Farm. The farm breeds rare species, such as the Castlemilk Moorit sheep, and when you're ready for a rest, our Whitemare Hotel is less than three miles away.
