Travelodge appoints new UK Contracts Project Manager
We are delighted to announce that we have appointed Andrew Griffiths as our new UK Contracts Project Manager.
Andrew, who will be reporting into Travelodge’s UK Development Director, has been brought in to support the Group’s development plans to expand its already major network of hotels across the UK and oversee projects that are currently in our development pipeline.
Andrew was previously an Associate Director at Wakemans for 10 years, where he supported Travelodge by project managing numerous new hotel developments, including Cardiff Queens Street and Northampton Central as well as working with the pre-contract development team in securing new deals. Andrew is now relishing his in-house position, supporting the Development Team on a day-to-day basis with their new opening programme.
Andrew comments: “It’s exciting to be working with Travelodge now on a permanent basis, having had a great relationship with them previously. We have ambitious plans that we are confident we will succeed with and I’m looking forward to working closely with the Property and Development team in order for us to achieve just that.”
Tony O’Brien, UK Development Director comments: “I am really pleased that Andrew has joined Travelodge. He brings with him a wealth of great Project Management and QS experience, but is also a really down-to-earth, Travelodge type of guy, who I am sure will fit in brilliantly with our ethos of working in close partnership with our developers, contractors and the rest of the professional teams to secure, deliver and open great new Travelodge hotels. Andrew will play a key role in helping us to achieve our ambitious growth plans in the next 5 years.”
