New Travelodge hotel at London Bromley Mall opens for business

Travelodge, the UK’s first budget hotel brand, has opened the doors to a new 59-bedroom hotel in Bromley town centre, South East London.

Open from Monday, 10th March, guests staying at the new London Bromley Town Centre Travelodge can experience Travelodge’s new premium design – which is the group’s most significant brand transformation to date. The new design includes a redesigned reception and next-generation rooms, which include a comfy king size Dreamer™ bed, complete with a cosy duvet and four plump pillows. Rooms also have ensuite shower rooms, a spacious desk, a TV with freeview, LED lighting and plenty of power throughout with USB desk and bedside charging points.

Sustainability has been an important factor when designing the hotel. It has an Energy Performance Certificate rating of B, as well as a number of sustainable features such as LED lighting throughout, air source heat pumps and green roofs to encourage biodiversity.

London Bromley Town Centre Travelodge is located a short distance away from Bromley Civic Centre, the Churchill Theatre and host of other attractions that guests can visit during their stay. Bromley Train Station is just a two minute walk from the new hotel, and is only a 30 minute train journey into central London. The hotel has created 19 new jobs for the local community.

Steve Bennett, Chief Property and Development Officer, said: “We’re thrilled to welcome guests  to our newly opened London Bromley Mall hotel which is the very latest in our growing network of hotels throughout London.

“Guests can benefit from design features such as our revamped reception area and next generation room including king size Dreamer™ bed, LED lighting and USB charging. We continue to look for more London locations and have four more new London hotels currently under construction in Beckenham, Chiswick, Stratford and Upminster.”

“Travelodge operates over 600 hotels across the UK, Ireland and Spain.  It runs 83 hotels and has over 10,000 rooms across London, employing around 4,000 people across the city, with the chain continuing to expand across the capital. Travelodge also recently acquired an office building in St Paul’s, for conversion into a 95-room hotel subject to planning permission, which is a very exciting new route for growth for Travelodge”
