Unrivalled facilities at UWE

Bristol is a very popular destination with students, many of whom study at the UWE, known for its fantastic state-of-the-art facilities. It lies just to the north of the city centre.

In April 2017, a new �55 million Faculty of Business and Law building was opened, complete with two showcase law courts and a city trading room. It also has a flight simulator for engineering students, and an animation studio, which partners with famous Bristol Oscar winners Aardman Animations.

In Bristol itself, there are a host of attractions to check out during your visit. One of the best is this historic ship-turned-museum.

Experience the sights, sounds and smells of life on board as you step into the shoes of a Victorian sailor to climb the rigging, explore the galley and descend beneath the ship to the glass 'sea' to see the hull. Special events throughout the year include a Halloween evening and Victorian circus extravaganza.

Enjoy a night on the tiles

Bristol is known for its lively nightlife. On the harbourside, the Arnolfini has cutting-edge music and film events, while the Watershed has an arthouse cinema and cafe bar overlooking the water.

Theatre-goers are well catered for with the Bristol Old Vic and Hippodrome, which attracts the latest touring productions, from War Horse to the Russian State Ballet.
