Founded in 1965, the University of Kent's main campus is located in the historic city of Canterbury, with the insitution also having bases in Tonbridge and Medway. It describes itself as the 'UK's European University', as it attracts a number of international students and also boasts postgraduate centres in major cities, including Athens and Rome.

A visit to the Canterbury campus of the University of Kent is an ideal opportunity to also discover more about the city's incredible history. Once a pilgrimage site, Canterbury is steeped in heritage with both its stunning castle and cathedral dating back to the Norman era. History enthusiasts will also love the city's Roman Museum, which was built on the remains of a town house from that time and also features a stunningly preserved Roman pavement.
