Discover a museum with a history of its own

The Discovery Museum dates back to 1934, when it was known as the Municipal Museum of Science and Industry - the first science museum in the country to be located outside of London. These days much has changed, not least the building in which it's housed, but it remains a fascinating and forward-facing science museum.

Gaze at the stars

A short walk from the Discovery Museum is the Centre for Life, an interactive science centre which boasts, among other exhibits, the north of England's biggest and most immersive planetarium. You'll feel as though you could reach out and touch the stars.

Hit the Toon

The Victoria Tunnel and Newcastle Castle are just a few of the historic sites that this great city has to offer. On an evening there's everything from plays and concerts at the many theatres and venues (the Theatre Royal and Live Theatre Newcastle are both worth investigating), to fine dining and excellent pubs and clubs.
