Things to do around Guiseley

A traditional Yorkshire village with pretty stone cottages, an ancient church and a number of good pubs, Guiseley is a popular base for visitors wanting to explore the Yorkshire Dales and the Lake District National Park. 10 miles west of Leeds, it also provides easy access to all that the city has to offer, including the multi-award winning Trinity shopping and leisure centre.

A great day out

Just 10 miles away in the neighbouring village of Keighley is the Keighley and Worth Valley Railway. Climb aboard a steam train to puff through the beautiful Bronte countryside.

Village history in the heart of West Yorkshire

Watch the world go by at the ancient Guiseley Well. Dating back to Roman times, it's a lovely place for young kids and dogs to have a paddle in the warm summer months. Literary lovers will want to visit the beautiful St Oswald's Church, where the parents of the famous Bronte sisters married in 1812 - a copy of their marriage certificate is on display.
