Today, Bury Travelodge made history as part of Travelodge's UK record of opening eight hotels throughout the country in one day. It is the first low-cost hotel in the area and has created 15 new jobs. The £2 million, 54-bedroom hotel is located at Route 66 Leisure Park, Pilsworth Road, Bury.

Room rates will start from £26 per night and you only pay for the room, not the number of people staying. There is a choice of rooms, including family, double and disabled. Each room offers a comfortable setting with en-suite bathroom, luxury king size bed, colour TV with pay on demand movies, Internet services and free tea and coffee making facilities. Free onsite car-parking is provided for guests.

A 'breakfast on the go' service will be available to guests. The breakfast bag costs £4.00 and contains a selection of breakfast goodies and can be delivered to the guests door between 5am to 7am or purchased from reception 24 hours.

Manchester Airport Travelodge also opened today as part of Travelodge's UK record of opening eight hotels in one day. The £8 million, 201-bedroom hotel is located at the airport and has created 65 new jobs within the region.

The other six Travelodge hotels to open today include: London City Airport, Aberdeen Airport, Nottingham City Centre, Norwich City Centre, St Austell and Pembroke Dock which results in a total investment of £22 million, 792 new rooms and a creation of 180 jobs.
