12th July 2006

Bob Barnes, Feltham Football Club's manager, and St Lawrence Primary School pupil, John Igboanugo, officially opened the first budget hotel in Feltham today. The 115 bedroom Travelodge is located in the heart of the town's £500 million re-development project at The Longford Centre, High Street, Feltham, Middlesex, TW13 4BZ.

Local school pupil John Igboanugo, aged eight, won the chance to open the new hotel by entering a 'Design Your Dream Bedroom' competition set by the budget hotel chain in collaboration with Head Teacher Rory McCormack. Ignoanugo also won a two-night stay with his family at a UK Travelodge of his choice and his winning picture is now displayed in the hotel reception.

Greg Crouch, Feltham Travelodge Manager, said: "Given Felthams proximity to attractions such as Thorpe Park and Twickenham rugby ground, as well as several business parks, there is a clear demand for budget accommodation in the town. Were delighted to open the first low cost hotel in the area and meet that need. Our central location is ideal for business and leisure travellers visiting the town and surrounding area, as well as meeting the needs of those with visiting family and friends."

Rooms at Feltham Travelodge are available from £26 with a choice of either double, family or disabled-access rooms. Each room offers a comfortable setting with en-suite bathroom, luxury king size bed, colour TV and free tea and coffee making facilities.

The new hotel also has a Bar Cafe which offers an all-you-can-eat hot cooked breakfast at $6.50 per person (children eat for free*), all day snacks and a bar service in the evenings.
