Today, Travelodge, the UKs number one budget hotel brand officially opened its first hotel in Hastings at Summerfields, Bohemia Road. Travelodge has spent over £100,000 refurbishing the former 40-bedroom Cinique Ports hotel into the new 50-bedroom Hastings Travelodge. The hotel reception area, restaurant and bedrooms have also been refurbished.

Hastings Travelodge will offer rooms from as little as £26, which is a 75% reduction from Cinique Ports room rates. There is a choice of rooms from family, double and disabled, each offering a comfortable setting with en-suite bathroom. Also included in each room is a luxury king-size bed, colour TV, pay on demand movies, telephone, Internet services and free tea and coffee making facilities.

The hotel has a Bar Café, which offers a range of meals and refreshments throughout the day and evening. (Breakfast, evening meals and snacks 24 hours a day and a bar service until 1.00am). The Bar Café is also open to non-staying guests.

The new hotel opening has created an additional ten new jobs, which includes:
