Explore the northeast shores from Seaham Hall

Sat straight in the middle of Durham's heritage coastline, you can enjoy the lovely sea air when attending a wedding at Seaham Hall - a pretty white mansion set in beautiful grounds.

Make sure you leave some time to explore the venue's namesake town and enjoy one of Britain's cleanest coastlines. Seaham has some great tearooms and fish and chip shops if you fancy a bite to eat on the promenade.

Spend a day at the seaside

The coastal town of Seaham sits centrally on the Durham Heritage Coastline, that runs south from Sunderland to Hartlepool.

Walk the coastal path and take in some of the vantage points that can be seen along the cliffs - they make the perfect photo opportunity. If the weather's fine, head down the steps to the pebbly beach, and dip your toe in the clean - but cold - North Sea.

Pretty Durham just a short drive away

The county town of Durham is a 25 minute drive away, and has lots of tearooms, restaurants and shops in a charming historical setting. Enjoy a glass of wine or a pint overlooking the River Wear that runs through the town centre and don;t forget to visit the impressive cathedral.
