Woodland walks by the loch

Nestled among stunning landscape at the foot on Loch Lamond, Balloch is a popular holiday retreat that's also home to Balloch Castle Country Park. The castle and its grounds are walkable from Balloch town, although some areas are slightly steep so some may choose to drive instead. However you get there, you'll be rewarded with stunning views across the loch as well as the picturesque grounds of the castle.

Make a feathered friend

The Loch Lomond Bird of Prey Centre is nestled in a gorgeous woodland park, and is home to over 35 birds of prey and owls, including Orla, a magnificent Golden Eagle. The centre is run in conjunction with the Scottish SPCA and helps to rehabilitate these graceful animals back into the wild. Looking for a cheap hotel in Balloch?
