This 5,000-seat venue in the heart of Cardiff has seen some of the biggest names in pop perform here since it was opened in 1993 by Shirley Bassey, including Rihanna, Kylie Minogue and Justin Bieber. As well as live music and comedy, it also hosts boxing, darts, banquets, conferences, exhibitions and weddings.

The arena is just across the road from St David's Shopping Centre, where more than 150 stores and eateries await you, including Hollister, Jack Jones, Schuh and Krispy Kreme Doughnuts. There's also a 15-screen cinema, so you can rest your weary legs after a marathon shopping session while catching the latest blockbuster. Try not to nod off though.
