Explore the Cotswolds

Located within the wooded Stroud Valleys of Gloucestershire, approximately 4 miles south of Stroud, is the town of Nailsworth. There's a farmers' market once a month on the last Saturday, award winning restaurants and plenty of local produce shops making this Cotswolds town a pleasant place to visit.

A bite to eat

There are some great eateries in Nailsworth, including William's Food Hall & Oyster Bar (3 Fountain Street) which is superb for seafood lovers. Originally opened in 1975, this quirky restaurant has an adjacent Oyster Bar, tasty hamper range in the shop, amazing fish market and takeaway lunches if you're looking to be out and about.

A breath of fresh air

National Trust owned Woodchester Park is a short 15-minute car journey away from Nailsworth in Stroud. From the Park's main car park, pick from three different trails - the circular boathouse walk (3.5 miles), the Woodland walk (marked in blue) and the 7 mile Valley walk (marked in red). This is a beautiful wooded park with the Boat House and chain of five lakes making this a super place to visit. There is a small charge for parking but admission is free.
