To Heathrow and beyond...

While Feltham's own charms - including the gorgeous Bedfont Lakes Country Park - make for a pleasant and relaxing stay locally, its positoning on the western edge of London shouldn't be ignored. Extremely handy for Heathrow airport, it's a great spot to spend the night pre or post international trip, and also right next door to Twickenham, the home of English rugby. Feltham also provides a good base for exploring the capital itself. A 40-minute drive or train journey will take you right in to the heart of the action.

A farm with a difference

The town is part of the London borough of Hounslow, and home to a farm like no other. The Hounslow Urban Farm brings a wide range of friendly animals to a city setting, letting families get up-close and personal to some of the friendliest animals in London. From Willow the Barn Owl, to the adorable Micro Pigs, and even the Thai Water Dragon, there's something for every animal lover here.

A train to remember

When staying Near Feltham, you simply have to visit to the Hampton & Kempton Waterworks Railway and museum and see one of oldest, fully-functioning steam trains in England. Families can take a ride on the locomotive as it travels along the 2-foot gauge railway line. Once done, you can learn more about its history at the lovingly-run museum.
