Explore the great outdoors

Comprising over 800 square miles of vast, rugged countryside, and including Wales' highest mountain, Snowdon, Snowdonia is an understandably popular destination for millions of tourists from around the world every year. Wales' first National Park also encompasses many small towns, villages and hamlets, which are well worth exploring.

Reach new heights - Mount Snowdon

For the adventurous traveller, Mount Snowdon is a must - and you don't even have to be a seasoned mountaineer, thanks to the Snowdon Mountain Railway, which delivers you to the summit of Wales' highest peak. From there, the views are breathtaking.

Visit Portmerion

One of the region's most popular destinations is Portmerion, the setting for the classic TV series The Prisoner. Even for those unfamiliar with the show, Portmerion's unique architecture and spectacular gardens make it well worth a visit.

Planning a trip to Snowdonia National Park? Travelodge Porthmadog Hotel on the western edge of the national park is most convenient, and situated close to Portmerion. Travelodge Bangor Hotel and Travelodge Caernarfon Hotel to the north are also great options.
