Barton Stacey - little England at its most charming

Located 7 miles south-east of Andover, the little village of Barton Stacey can be found in the scenic Test Valley disrtrict of Hampshire. The original area was only three streets, before over 2000 acres were purchased by the MOD in World War Two to be used for military training. The village is ideal to enjoy deligthtful rural scenery, with the attractions of Winchester under 10 miles away.

Inside, you'll find chests containing the bones of Anglo Saxon kings and even medieval stained glass that was shattered by Oliver Cromwell's troops. 15 miles from Barton Stacey, hundreds of animals can be witnessed up close in the 140 acres that make up Marwell Zoo. Daily talks and animal feeds help you learn more about the thriving beasts, including hippos, penguins, tigers and giraffes.
