Visit a world class arts and learning centre

The Barbican Centre in the City of London is the largest performing arts base in Europe. It has quite rightly earned its reputation not just for staging top-class concerts, theatre performances, art exhibitions and film screenings, but also for fostering the next generation of talent through its developmental schemes.

More than just a venue

The centre's concert hall is home to both the BBC Symphony Orchestra and the London Symphony Orchestra, while the theatre plays host to the Royal Shakespeare Company. There's also two art galleries including new-commission only, The Curve. Three cinema screens, three restaurants and a public library with a focus on music and the arts are also available, meaning it's possible to spend days in the centre without setting foot outside.

If you do venture out into the wider world, there's no end of things to see and do across the capital.
